Latly Africa has been on my mind.
Here is why.
My friend Jenny flew last week to Uganda as a leader on a YWAM team and will be in the area for a the next few months.
Last Sunday (the 2nd) Alycia and I met up with Megan and crew at the PSU theater and saw a screening of "Invisible Children". They had DVDs in the lobby, which I promptly bought. It is a very powerful movie and I would love to share it with anyone who is interested.
During the Invisible Children screening they talked about the "Global Night Commute", a global demonstration aimed at solving the issues presented in the film.
Prompted by the movie, me and Alycia had a conversation about "The One" campaign. The One campaign is an effort to cancel the debts of several African nations and to invest in solving the problems of Africa. All of this for another 1% of our budget.
Anyway, its been on my mind alot the last few days. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about it. I signed up for both the Global Night Commute and the One campaign. But I kinda want to do more....
